This washi (Japanese hand made paper) factory specializes in making washi from locally found ingredients, also using them for coloring. This includes mikan (mandarin) peel, kaki (persimmon) peel, and rice straw. The paper fiber is all sourced from locally found timbers, and the water used is from a stream on the property.
